A Buggy Mess

It's done! Kind of... Well for 4 days work, I think it's done. This is probably my favorite game I've ever worked on. Down to the visuals, sound design and concept I thoroughly enjoyed *almost* every minute of it. If you played it thank you, if you didn't play it then play it and tell me what you think. Negative comments are appreciated just as much as positive as it's a game made in 4 days, of course its obtuse, bad, and weird.

*Known bugs to watch out for*

  • The hand animation tends to mess up if you move directly after picking something up
  • Talking to the first shop keeper with beans in your inventory tends to "muddy" things up a bit
  • Quickly clicking a new tab in the web browser while the animation is running resets the browser
  • Some animations aren't working, like fading into the "New Week" screen
  • HTML5 version of "Clark" the grocery store clerk does not die once defeated
  • General balance issues with some of the manipulation type moves. Confuse seems to be the only viable one
  • While NPCs getting suspicious of you if you steal within their radius, they somehow seem to attack you through walls
  • An inconsistent bug I've found is finding "Beanie" the talking can of beans can sometimes lock you out of finishing the game until his dialog is done.
  • Balance shown on web browser doesn't reflect the actual balance of the player

*Features I'd like but didn't have time for*

  • Lockpicking minigame based off the stress of your player
  • More moves, interactions between types
  • Better enemy AI, and more feedback related
  • Far more podcasts with more voice actors
  • Items for battle related purposes
  • Crouching and more Thief-like mechanics around sneaking and detection
  • Ability to actually pay for groceries if you want to be a good guy
  • Shopkeeper eyesight
  • Security cameras
  • Self checkout

I personally really enjoy this game. If I end up updating it, smoothing it out, and fleshing it out I'll post another developer log about when it might be expected to release.
